The hunter looked a bit startled taht the vampire approached her so boldly. Usually it was a chess game with the older ones, all three steps forward, two steps back, pawn to bishop, knight takes queen and all that.

But this one....oh he was a bold one And she was a bit interested to see where this went.

"Well," she put her cigarette to her lips and inhaled and resumed staring up at the sky, "The stars will always be the same, it's the world that's no longer ours."

Time marched on while they stayed frozen. Things were far different than they were when she was brought into the world. The world had it's failings and triumphs, scars and victories.....and here was she still was, with her blackberry phone and laptop several years out of date....she still didn't know what dabbing was and had no time for instagram....

"You come to kill me, vampire?" she asked casually, "I'm not here for you, but I suppose I have five minutes to give out of my evening"

It was all bravado but Mina was certain she could set his hair alight if he went for her...or his fancy clothes.

Or he could rip her head off, either way...it wasn't exactly the way she wanted to spend her evening.

New York really did have problems both with crime and demons lurking about by the dozens. With all the dark alleyways, the thick air of negative emotions, and several other factors it was a hot bed for demonic activity. Though why Nix was sent there by themselves was a mystery but there was no time to complain with work to be done. Which was what brought her to a large abandoned warehouse in the middle of the night.

Inside was filled with a sort of demon the Exorcist wasn’t hoping to find, purely because of the strong implications. The kind drawn to corpses in order to feed on them. They were large and dangerous, needing to be taken care of before innocent people wandered in. By the time her work was finished, there was a strong lingering chill in the air and thick frost covering the interior of the warehouse.

So needless to say, the sudden voice caught them off guard. Nix quickly turned to face the source, still tense from the battle. Whoever this individual was, they were not human. Their instincts said as much but nothing more. At least that meant they didn’t have to worry about trying to hide their tail that was already out. If they could see all that was present, there was no point in playing dumb. “.. That I did. It’s my job to take care of dangerous demons that pose a threat. This area has been taken care of for now.. Who are you and what are you doing here?”
